A Busy "Christmas" Weekend...

Hi Everyone...
Thought I would share a couple of photos...the first one is my Christmas Mantle, the 2008 version. I decided to get an early start on the decorating this year. I want to enjoy December...do a little baking with my grandson...he really wants to make a gingerbread house this year..., listen to Christmas music, do a little stress-free shopping??? Is that possible???

Remember this bear?

The next picture is the completed version in Teddy Bear & Friends Magazine, Nov/Dec 2008. (and on my mantle)! A wonderful friend over at "Teddy Talk" emailed a pic for me and is sending me a copy of the magazine. For some reason, we are not getting the issues now in Calgary...very frustrating when you want to send it to family. I am in the process of trying to get a few extra copies. UPDATE: I have copies coming next week!
If you do have this issue, it is a keeper...there are many wonderful artists in it. Eleven of us did the Christmas Carols...I don't make bears as often as I used to and so this was a fun piece to do.

Have a great week!
Nancy

Thank-you so much Donna and Carolyn. I will take pics of the before, during and after of the gingerbread house...it will be fun and I'm thinking a bit messy!

Shopping is going to be fun this year! We are keeping it very simple.

Congratulations Nancy! That is wonderful to see your sweet bear in print.

I can check to see if the Chapter's here has the magazine. They usually have them quite quickly. I will let you know.

Your mantle is stunning. I hope to get some decorating done this weekend. It is nice to be able to enjoy the season and not just rush, rush, rush. You look like you have it all under control this year.

Happy Baking! ~ Karen
