Hi Everyone...
I am posting this at the request of my friend Karen...
I was very happy and honored to receive two ribbons last week at the Western Showcase of the Calgary Exhibition & Stampede. They are the only juried show in western Canada. There were many wonderful entries in many mediums...quilting, sewing, rug hooking, mixed media and dolls & toys.
"Gerty" won the Dolls & Toys Section.
This is the second time in 4 years that I have won the award.
"How Do I Look Teddy?" took second place.
Have a great weekend!

Thank-you so much Christine and Carolyn.
I did put in a "few" man hours making the pieces and so I am grateful that my work was recognized. It is a wonderful feeling...

These are wonderful Nancy. Do you sell them?

Congratulations, Nancy! I didn't even know the Stampede had such a fair. You can tell I've never been!
You are well-deserving of the awards - your dolls are so detailed and well done.
Lorrie
Hi Darly...Yes, I sell my dolls...but never the winners. I design all of my own pieces...I don't use patterns. And so, the little witch could be made again...but she won't look exactly the same...that is one of the beauties of free form sculpting...no molds are used.
Thank-you Darly
