Hi Everyone...
You will notice a couple of "different" pictures on my page this month on Pfatt Marketplace...they will look a little strange to say the least! Since coming home from holidays...I have been silently coping with aging parents...and it has been emotionally draining. Tears come easily knowing what is to come... And so, I have been slower than normal in getting things done. I feel awful about it...but please understand that I love what I am doing and am continuing to work hard but with a heavy heart.
I will have the new pieces for sale HERE on Thursday at noon...so stay tuned!!
Here is a little sneak peak!
Have a great week!
Nancy

It's a hard stage of life to look after parents. I'm sorry you're having a difficult time and pray that the decisions you have to make will be effective.
Keeping up with your art is important - I find that creating something is healing. It relieves stress and feeds that creative part of me.

Thank-you so much Lorrie for your kind thoughts. Right now, we are in a transition. While away, my mom was admitted to the hospital. She has had Alzhiemer's for 12 years now and dad has looked after her all of these years. I have admired his courage and strength to do it...but now, things are changing. Mom will be in a nursing home soon. And the story continues...I won't bore anyone with any more of the detail...we just continue on...
I agree...creating is a great stress reliever...staying focused is the key right now. And there are days when I get no where fast!
I just have to stay positive!
Thank-you Lorrie

May God bless your heart.I know its hard, and I really can say that.Been there. It is draining and knowing you could loose them,But you know, they are being taken care of and being loved by you, they are happy inside. So take care and do what you have to do.Hugs Marie Antionette

Nancy I am so very sorry. Sending virtual hugs to you... Laura Lynn
Sorry to hear about your Mum having to go into a home Nancy.
It is so hard when people get old.
I admire your Dad looking after your Mum and it must be a big job.
My Mother has just turned 90 and my
Dad is a few years younger.
They seem to manage but the other day I was talking to them and Dad said they feel old.
My thoughts are with you and your family Nancy and sending my best wishes and love.

Thank-you so much Laura and Carolyn. It has been a very strange couple of weeks...you come back from holidays feeling refreshed and then you are brought down with a thud! Aging is not fun and we are all headed there...hopefully, we will have the support that my Mom has had...she has been very fortunate from that perspective.
Thank-you so much for your kind words. They mean so much to me.
Nancy
