An Early Christmas Present To Me...

Hi Everyone...
I am so excited!
We have a wonderful historical place here in Calgary called "Heritage Park". They are expanding and have just opened several new shops including an Antique Shop. We visited all of the little shops this past weekend and I spied this wonderful dental chest. I knew it would be perfect for my studio and so I went back the next day and purchased it...You don't see many of these and when you do, they are snapped up pretty quickly. This piece is from the 1930's-40's. It was owned by a local dentist for many years and was donated to the park by his wife. It is missing its' black glass piece on top of the drawers and so I have ordered a replacement. I am also going to strip it and wax it. The original owner back in the '30's painted it...but the history of these suggests they should be waxed. I absolutely love it...I am going to have so much fun filling the drawers! I'll take better pictures once I get it upstairs and refinished.

Have a great weekend!
Nancy
