The Latest Ski Bunny In The Family...

Hi Everyone...
Well, he isn't exactly a bunny...but here is the newest addition to the skiers in the family. Our little grandson just finished taking his first lessons...and he was determined to go the "Big Hill"! He couldn't wait...he skied down the mountain by himself...his Dad was beside him, but he didn't want any help.

One of the Original Ski Bunnies!
Matt's Dad...

Is it over yet?!

Look...no hands! They teach children to ski without poles initially.

Dad and Matt down the big hill!

We are so fortunate here in Calgary...Canada Olympic Park is 5 minutes from our house. Matt's Dad and his brother (my sons) took there first lessons here too! This area is where Olympic athletes train for the winter Olympics in ski jumping, luge, bobsledding etc...There is a lot to see and do here year round. It is a wonderful legacy of our Winter Olympics in 1988.

Have a great weekend!
Nancy

Oh Nancy what a winter wonderland it must be living in Calgary and so close to the ski slopes.

Looks like you son and Grandson must have had a wonderful day skiing.
It is the best age to learn when you are young isn't it.

Do you ski Nancy?

Have a great weekend
Hugs

Hi Carolyn...

Yes, I agree...when the kids are young, they have no fear...which can be a good and bad thing. Matt likes to go fast...my younger son was a bit of a hot dog on the slopes...he liked the challenge of the more difficult runs...Matt's Dad is a little more conservative.
No, I don't ski..not that I haven't tried. We took the kids to a beautiful ski hill in the Rockies and the adults took lessons. I never got off the "bunny hill". I think I was a little afraid of falling...I have dislocated and fractured my right elbow 6 times...and I didn't want to do it again.
I enjoy Apres skiing...a little sun, music, glass of wine, watching the skiers come down the hill!

Hugs, Nancy

Bless, Nancy.

I can understand if you have dislocated and fractured your elbow of wanting to take care and staying on the bunny hill.

Apres skiing is always good where it is warm and comfortable.

Have a great week.
Hugs
Carolyn

Hi Nancy, Looks like it was a great day with lots of sunshine.

I agree, the apres skiing is the best part! I don't know how much longer I will keep skiing. I don't bounce quite as well as I used to, LOL.
