Hello...
So glad you could stop by for a visit.
I have a few things to share...For those of you that have followed my Landscape Quilt and are waiting for the finish, it will have to wait a couple more posts. I am so sorry. I have had to put the brakes on that and my bear and concentrate on a quilt I will be teaching in the fall. It has taken a lot of my time over the last month and so the bear is staring at me everyday...and the quilt basket full of little pieces is a reminder that I have to get back to finishing the embroidery!

I am honored to be the Cover of the Aug/September 2012 issue of Soft Dolls & Animals. Suzie Sunflower is home now keeping me company.

And now for a few pics of the new quilt I am making...my friend Doreen is currently giving a wonderful tutorial online for this quilt. You can find out more on her blog HERE

I'm off to spend a week with the fibre artists at Olds College. Working toward my Masters in Spinning. I am really looking forward to the break...

Enjoy your day!

Dear Nancy,

Woohoo! congratulations for your making the front cover of the magazine. Suzie Sunflower is so lovely.
The Quilt is so beautiful and love the colours of the reds and green and you are so very talented.
Sounds like you have a busy but fun time ahead. Working towards your Masters in Spinning - what an achievement. My Mother used to do spinning and we often loved to have a go too.

Take care and hope you are enjoying the weekend

Here's my interpretation of Suzie Sunflower
http://artwrinkles.blogspot.com/2012/07/sunflower-suzette.html
Her blue checked dress was made for another doll, but I it didn't fit. It fits Suzie. The shirt I made for Suzie was too small. The overdress is part of the Suzie Sunflower pattern. I made a different head. She was fun to do.
