Hello...
I love fall...everything about it, except the snow we got this week! Grrrrr.....
It has been a busy couple of months...we were away for awhile, making time for my grandson, and doing a lot of sewing lately.
I have finally gone through the photos I have taken since my last visit with you and will post a few of what I have been up to...
Today, I am making the binding for the Vintage Rouge quilt...I haven't finished all of the quilting yet, but here is the completed top.

FINISHED QUILT TOP ~ VINTAGE ROUGE

A CLOSE-UP
When we got back from holidays in September, I needed to do a clean-up in my office downstairs. It
was a big mess! And so I got rid of a lot of "stuff" and ended up with a clean space I can work in...here is one photo. I know, same wallpaper...someday I'll get around to getting it off. We also bought a new desk and laser printer...photos of the rest later.
NEW OFFICE
Last weekend, we had the Creative Stitches show here in Calgary. It was a lot smaller than usual and the crowds were minimal. Those of us there did have a good time though...and it was a fun two days.
I was there representing the Canadian magazine - "A Needle Pulling Thread". Here is a photo of my table...
CREATIVE STITCHES SHOW ~ 2012
While at the show, I was able to look around a bit a found this gorgeous quilt. It took the girls 3 years to make it...it was simply breathtaking! So much so, that I came home and ordered the pattern set. It is a Sue Garmen pattern.
LADIES OF THE SEA QUILT

I also bought a couple of patterns to use up fabric, but couldn't resist buying a little fabric...don't you just love these purples?! The ladies that had the fabric have a new book coming out in 2013. I'll keep you posted...should be a good one. Their quilts are lovely.
PRETTY PURPLES...
I am also working on another applique quilt...do I need another one?? This is a sampler quilt by Sue Daley. I had purchased a jellyroll awhile ago and decided it was time to use it...and so this sampler is a work in progress.

And finally, I will leave you with a picture of the view we had every morning at our cottage on the lake while on holidays. It was warm and beautiful...

Hi Nancy,

I love the colors in your quilt! I also have to say I admire your ambition to do that applique quilt. It looks like a massive undertaking but oh so pretty.

Good luck! Enjoyed your photos!

Hello Nancy,

So lovely to get to visit you and was thinking of you the other day.
I love the new vintage Rouge quilt and what a lot of time and work in it.
Seems like a lot of shows are smaller in numbers and glad you had fun there, the purple fabrics are all so pretty.
You must have had a beautiful holiday away and the view from the cottage is amazing.

Enjoy the weekend and many thanks for visiting me
hugs
