December has been a chaotic month around here...as it is in many households at this time of the year. We have had family happenings, a garage furnace that is gone now...and is being replaced. (This is a story of its' own)!!
Matthew, our grandson was a tall drummer in the African Drumming Concert at the school. He was so excited...he was waving a lot! Although, when I looked at the pictures, he was either concentrating very hard or he was having a bad day. I want to believe he was concentrating!
I had a wonderful friend, who is an author of children's books here for lunch. We also had a lovely little dinner party...and despite the work, it was a much needed stress reliever. So, it has been a little crazy here lately.
The tree has been up since mid-November...and the rest of the decorating was done over the next few weeks. I decided to keep things a little simpler this year. I only unpacked about 1/2 of the Christmas decorations I usually do...I am actually liking the simplicity. I thought I would share a few photos of the living room...where we will be celebrating with our family on Christmas Eve. The pics go around the room to the left beginning at the mantle. The trees above are glass trees made of recycled glass from shattered bus shelters.
My dear friend Norma makes them...I just love them!
I want to thank-you all for visiting my blog...I so enjoy reading your comments.
I wish you much peace and happiness during this Christmas and holiday season.
