Christmas Throughout The House...

Hello Everyone...
December has been a chaotic month around here...as it is in many households at this time of the year. We have had family happenings, a garage furnace that is gone now...and is being replaced. (This is a story of its' own)!!
Matthew, our grandson was a tall drummer in the African Drumming Concert at the school. He was so excited...he was waving a lot! Although, when I looked at the pictures, he was either concentrating very hard or he was having a bad day. I want to believe he was concentrating!
I had a wonderful friend, who is an author of children's books here for lunch. We also had a lovely little dinner party...and despite the work, it was a much needed stress reliever. So, it has been a little crazy here lately.

The tree has been up since mid-November...and the rest of the decorating was done over the next few weeks. I decided to keep things a little simpler this year. I only unpacked about 1/2 of the Christmas decorations I usually do...I am actually liking the simplicity. I thought I would share a few photos of the living room...where we will be celebrating with our family on Christmas Eve. The pics go around the room to the left beginning at the mantle. Click the images to enlarge...

The grouping of trees below, are some of the 60+ trees I have in varying sizes and shapes. I decided not to put them all out this year...it is a lot of work. Some need lights...this chicky didn't feel like it!

The trees above are glass trees made of recycled glass from shattered bus shelters.
My dear friend Norma makes them...I just love them!

I want to thank-you all for visiting my blog...I so enjoy reading your comments.
I wish you much peace and happiness during this Christmas and holiday season.
Nancy

Nancy,

Finally getting a minute to stop by...your Christmas decorations are just gorgeous. The whole place looks picture perfect! Originally being from upstate NY ~ as far up as you can imagine (60 miles south of Montreal), I DO miss that snow sometimes. There is nothing as tranquil as a lovely shot of the snow on pine tree branches. But, brrr, reading on, it sure was verrry cold temps you got in November!

Love the way your blog is laid out. It looks so professional!

Hugs,

Mary
